Toshiba (Australia) Pty Limited (TAP) announced today the expansion of its mid-volume colour printing line-up with the introduction of the e-STUDIO™2330c colour multifunction device (MFD).

Joining Toshiba’s well-received e-STUDIO 2830c / 3530c / 4520c colour MFP series launched in June 2008, the Toshiba e-STUDIO2330c answers the needs of small to mid-sized businesses and satellite offices that want a full-featured, fast  colour MFD with an attractive entry-level price-point.

Like the rest of the mid-volume colour MFD family, the e-STUDIO2330c features Toshiba’s next generation e-BRIDGE™ controller for efficient image processing and multi-tasking. This also supports direct scanning to, and printing from, portable USB memory drives.

Cleverly, the device includes Easily Replaceable Unit design to minimise maintenance downtime.

The new e-STUDIO2330c colour MFP boasts a print speed of 23 pages-per-minute (PPM) for  colour, and 28 PPM in monochrome, with a first copy out time of approximately eight seconds, providing fast  colour printing to businesses with moderate output needs.

Utilising Toshiba’s leading-edge enhanced laser image technology (e- Fine), the e-STUDIO2330c delivers best-in-class colour clarity and rich text renditions in all scanning, printing and copying jobs. Supporting print resolutions of 2,400 x 600 dots-per-inch (dpi) and 10-bit scanning resolutions of 600 x 600 dpi, the e-STUDIO2330c provides razor-sharp text and superior graphic detail in all printed documents.

Highly Secure Next Generation e-BRIDGE Controller

Toshiba’s next generation e-BRIDGE controller progresses document security further by featuring integrated Advanced Encryption Standard hard disk encryption, IPv6, IPSec, SNMPv3 and 802.1x authentication. This protects the document workflow all the way to the network. The e-STUDIO2330c also includes Encrypted PDF, enabling users to password-protect documents when creating scanned PDFs to prevent unauthorized viewing or printing. For an additional level of protection, the e-STUDIO2330c can be fitted with the optional Data Overwrite Kit, ensuring that digital scans saved on the internal hard drive are completely erasing when the print job is completed.

Maximising uptime with smart design

Toshiba’s new Easily Replaceable Unit (ERU) technology ensures that main service components can be quickly interchanged, this means the e-STUDIO2330c uptime is optimised maximizing productivity. As part of the e-STUDIO2330c design, the toner and paper cartridges are readily accessible. With the e-STUDIO2330c at the centre of the office printing system, business owners and office managers gain  peace of mind that no matter how big or complex the print job, it can be completed without interruption.

Integrated Windows Vista Support

Building on Toshiba’s long-standing relationship with Microsoft, the e-STUDIO2330c provides Windows Vista-specific printing enhancements in the form of XPS Print Path drivers, Windows  colour System support and Windows Vista WS print and scan support, while remaining 100 percent backwards-compatible with existing deployments.

This XPS format integration offers full printer functionality and enables users to print 2007 Microsoft Office system documents directly to the MFD without having to utilise file conversion.
