Toshiba (Australia) Pty Limited Electronic Imaging Division Launches new Monochrome e-STUDIO255/305/355/455 and e-STUDIO555/655/755/855 multifunction device (MFD) Series bfeaturing high productivity, image quality and performance plus improvedenvironmental standard. Toshiba (Australia) Pty Limited (TAP) has announced the expansion of its monochrome MFD product offering with the new Toshiba e-STUDIO255/305/355/455 and e-STUDIO555/655/755/855.
"These new lines complete our total monochrome product offering to provide the perfect product for any type of end user," said Peter Parry, National Marketing Manager, TAP. "Additionally, colour scanning on the e-STUDIO455 Series is a significant improvement from previous models and a valuable cost-saving feature for small to mid-size businesses that may need colour scanning but do not require full-colour output." Designed for small to medium-sized workgroups, the clean-sheet Toshiba e-STUDIO255/305/355/455 Series features copying and printing speeds of 25, 30, 35, 45 pages per minute (ppm). Customers looking for colour scanning functions will find the e-STUDIO455 Series a low-cost alternative to purchasing a full-colour MFD device. Documents can now be captured, managed and stored as colour images and then reproduced clearly in black and white for consistent and more professional-looking results. The e-STUDIO555/655/755/855 Series was developed for medium-sized businesses, large workgroups and departmental users within major organizations and offers copy and print speeds of 55, 65, 75 and 85 ppm respectively. The ability to change the toner while the system is running and the Toshiba Engineer Replaceable Units (ERU), (which allow periodic maintenance to be carried out in minutes rather than hours) are valuable and differentiating design features. Specifically, the re-buildable service module concept refers to the practice of building MFD parts prior to service, then simply replacing them as a whole rather than tearing down and rebuilding the machine, which often takes hours and interrupts office workflow. These periodic maintenance service modules also are available on the e-STUDIO455 Series. Both the e-STUDIO455 and e-STUDIO855 Series have attained the latest Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Energy Star Tier Two rating. In fact, they are the first Toshiba systems with a super-sleep mode that consumes only one watt of power — the lowest of any MFD in this class today. In addition, both product lines feature quick start-up technology to reduce power consumption, have the Blue Angel Mark and are Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) compliant.
The security of data, documents and networks has become extremely important in today's business environment. The e-STUDIO455 and e-STUDIO855 Series were developed to strike the perfect balance between security and ease-of-use. The Scrambler Board, once an option, is now standard and provides 128-bit AES encryption to all data stored on the hard drive. The Disk-Overwrite Kit further writes over any data temporarily stored on the drive multiple times during the copying and scanning process and exceeds Department of Defense (DoD) security standards. Additionally, Full Network Authentication requires users to log-in to gain access to device features and functions. The e-STUDIO255/305/355/455 and e-STUDIO555/655/755/855 are available through Toshiba’s direct branch and network of dealers across Australia, New Zealand and the South West Pacific rim. |
